By this point, you should have a pretty good understanding of the plan. It’s best to have spoken with one of our licensed advisors. After you fill out the application, they will review it to make sure the information is complete and relevant. For your benefit, they may reach out looking out for more information. This is to ensure the best possible experience with the insurance company.
Upon review of your application, assuming all information is complete and relevant, your advisor will send you a confirmation email with instructions on how to sign the application digitally. Your application still has not yet been submitted to the insurance company. Your signature is required for that.
You’ll receive an email notification from Red Helm Insurance via DocuSign to review and sign the application via the DocuSign platform. Copies will be emailed to you upon signature completion and an email will be sent to you by your Red Helm advisor when your application is sent to the insurance company.
The policy will become effective upon the approval of Ontario Blue Cross®
The policy will become effective upon the approval of Ontario Blue Cross®. Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email from your Red Helm Insurance advisor. 10 business days after this the policy becomes effective, your Red Helm Insurance advisor will contact you via email to confirm you have received all your documentation and that you are satisfied.
Things to Consider
- The policy will become effective when Ontario Blue Cross® confirms receipt of your application
- Plans are paid a minimum of one month in advance which results two monthly payment being required upon the effective date of the policy
- If you have previously subscribed to this plan and cancelled, you are not eligible to apply for coverage a second time unless it was replaced by group benefits coverage at the time.
- You have 10 days from the effective date of your policy to examine and return it for refund of monies paid, if you are not entirely satisfied.
- A 30-day notice is required to cancel coverage. No commitment period or cancellation fees apply

Do not submit this application if you have not reviewed plans with and/or have been contacted by a Red Helm Insurance representative. Any information submitted within this application may be shared with the insurance company in question for the purpose of underwriting the insurance coverage you are applying for.
